New to the facility?
If you would like to become a user of the MONT facility, please send an email to Dr. David Dickensheets with a brief description of your project needs. Our team will assign a user liaison as a point of contact with whom you can discuss your project and determine whether MONT is the appropriate facility for you. Your liaison can then help you set up a project as a MONT user.
If you would like to coordinate directly with one of the MONT facilities, please use these contacts:
MMF users: Andrew Lingley
ICAL users: Sara Zacher
CBE users: Phil Stewart
Proteomics, Metabolomics, Mass Spec users: Don Smith
Cryo-EM users: Colin Gauvin and Martin Lawrence
Sample prepLab users: Colin Shaw
User and Project Registration
Once you know what facilities you'll be using, the next step is to register as a user. MONT's NSF funding depends on the number of users in the labs, so keeping careful track of our users and limited demographics such as academic rank and discipline is imperative.
PIs must register EACH project utilizing the facilities. Important reporting and success metics include the types of projects and funding sources that our shared-use facilities support.

Is there funding available if I am an external or new user?
We have funds available for Research Initiation Grants for external users, and for new users of MONT. Email David Dickensheets with a brief overview of your project and your contact information.
